Anticancer treatment for animals

Immunotherapies have emerged in the last 10 years as a major treatment modality for cancer in both human and veterinary medicine.
Animal Immuno Solutions provide a variety of cancer immunotherapies for pets, which can be used as standalone treatment or in combination with any standard of care cancer therapy, giving vets and pet owners a choice of what is best for their pet and their family.

Cancer is a devastating disease affecting both humans and their beloved pets. It is the leading cause of death in dogs, with an estimated 4 million dogs affected worldwide per year.

Traditionally cancer is treated with surgery, chemotherapy, or radiation, but these can have severe side effects and be cost prohibitive. Immunotherapy is tailored to help each pet fight their cancer by boosting the body’s immune response to the cancer.

Pets are members of our families. They hold a special place in our hearts. When they are unwell, we want to be able to provide them with the best care possible. Immunotherapy is a safe, pain free, and cost effective treatment option.

Veterinarians can prescribe immunotherapy for their patients as a sole treatment, or alongside standard of care cancer therapies. We work with you every step of the way to get the best outcome for your patients.
Animal Immuno Solutions’ specialist veterinary pathologists, research scientists with expertise in oncology and immunology research, and experienced veterinary technicians are not just pet lovers.
We are dedicated to providing painless, effective, and side effect-free immunotherapies for our furry friends with cancer. With a passion for leading edge science, research, and new product development, we work together with your veterinarian or oncologist to tailor-make individualised treatment protocols for your pet.
With years of experience, and a commitment to building trusting relationships with both pet owners and their veterinarians, we strive to provide treatment options where none existed before, where other treatments have failed, or to boost standard of care cancer therapies.

“In December 2017 we noticed our Rotti Griffin had a lump, and took him for a routine check up. A few days later we found out it was a cancerous lump. It was devastating, absolutely devastating right before Christmas. He was given only 3 months to live by the specialist, and that was with the chemotherapy. His lumps kept multiplying quickly, and this is when we heard of the cancer vaccine. Having a little girl home, we did not want to put Griffin through chemotherapy, especially with such a poor prognosis, so we decided to try the vaccine. One by one, the cancerous lesions began to disappear to the point where two years on we’ve still got him here. My little girl still has her dog.”

“Truman was a girl’s best friend – protector of our house, an enthusiastic travel companion and generally a great wingman. In early December 2017, when Truman was 13, whilst undergoing a routine dental cleaning we discovered a lesion on the back of his tongue, and biopsies revealed it was a T-cell lymphoma. We considered all our options, taking into account quality of life, number and frequency of procedures, life expectancy, lifestyle impact and financial impact. With an 11 week old baby on my hip, I was supremely conscious of the toxic waste that Truman would be excreting if he received chemotherapy. We opted for steroids and the cancer vaccine. 4 weeks into the vaccine treatment and he was ‘normal’, and enjoyed good quality of life for a further 9.5 months. To some folks, they might just be dogs. But this vaccine meant I had my beloved boy by my side (technically on my lap, actually) for longer than I could have dreamed, and that’s the biggest win for this lucky human.”

“Gus was diagnosed with a mast cell tumour in August 2017 at 9 years old. He is a timid boy, quite nervous and hates the vet. I didn’t feel that it was right to put Gus through the multiple treatments for his cancer, plus it was on his front wrist area with little hope of getting any margins. I had resigned myself to losing Gus in the next year when my neighbour an animal lover and vet nurse told me about the cancer vaccine. Gus started his treatments in September and they ran through for the next six months. It was so easy to work with the team, Gus became a regular and was always well taken care of. As an owner it was really easy on me, it was quick and simple and spread out. Dr Annika kept me informed all the way along. We were very lucky and in March 2018 his treatment concluded and he seemed to have no signs of mast cells in the cancer area. The whole process was easy and even Gus got used to it and wasn’t as frightened as normal. Today Gus is getting old, he has a bit of arthritis and the usual lumps and bumps of an older dog, but he is happy and still cancer free. We’re hoping Gus stays with us for some time to come.
